Boxycharm January 2018 Product Review

Hello everyone…Happy new year!! I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season, and I hope the new year is treating you well. If you have read some of my past blog posts, you would know that I belong to Ipsy which is a similar beauty subscription. However, Boxycharm is a $21.00 a month beauty subscription service that delivers about 5-6 FULL-SIZED products to your doorstep.

I honestly can say that Boxycharm has consistently been my absolute FAVORITE subscription service! Not only are you introduced to some really awesome brands and products in each box, but you are also receiving an incredible value! Each box is valued at over $100, yet you are paying $21.00. Keep in mind, many of these products come from really well-renowned brands!

Some of the brands we have received in past boxes have been Tarte, Becca, Pur, IT, Cover FX, Mac, etc.!

Please keep in mind that this is solely a personal review and is 100% based off of my opinions. Be sure to leave a comment about what products you have been enjoying from your Boxycharm. Additionally, if you have any questions about the service, do not hesitate to ask!(:

1. Dr. Brandt Skincare Pores No More (Luminizer) Primer ($38.00 USD)

pores no more

I was actually pretty excited t see this in our box this month. Fun fact about me, I am a foundation and primer junkie! Primers and foundations are probably some of my favorite cosmetic products to try out. There are so many different options out there, so many formulations, so many price points. Dr. Brandt is featured quite often in this box, which is awesome because it can be super expensive. From what I have used from them, I have really enjoyed their products. This primer claims to illuminate your complexion, giving you a natural, “from-within” type of glow. It refines the look of pores, smooths the skin, and blurs imperfections.

This primer contains lentil seed oil which is great at visibly tightening your pores, strengthening pore walls, and improving the texture of your skin. This primers contains NO parabens, NO sulfates, and NO phthalates. I find that even with my oily skin, this really increases the longevity of my makeup. Two thumbs up!!

2. CrownPro Glam Metals Eyeshadow Palette ($25.00 USD)

Glam metals

It is quite typical to receive an eyeshadow palette in a boxycharm. In fact, I can honestly tell you that a good third of my eyeshadow palette collection is composed of palettes I received in my boxes. And some of them are really really nice! Actually, we have received quite a few very nice, very high quality CrownPro brushes! This palette matches the quality and I couldn’t be more excited to create some new eye looks with it. It features 9 shadows, 8 of which are gorgeous, buttery, pigmented shimmer shades (blues, greens, reds, browns). The other shadow is a nice velvety matte black shade to help you smoke out any of the shimmer shades on your eye. I truly believe that if you took this palette and a nice matte neutrals palette, you could create endless eye looks!

3. IT Cosmetics Brow Power Universal Eyebrow Pencil in Universal Taupe ($24.00 USD)

brow power

Girl, I have some great brows. Believe me, I am not a cocky person and there are a lot of insecurities that I have. However, when it comes to my eyebrows, I am so proud of them. They are full and on-fleek. I usually don’t even touch my brows unless I am doing a full-on heavy-duty makeup look. And even in those cases, I only use a pencil and some clear brow gel to lock those babies in place. Because of this, you can probably assume I don’t own many brow products. That is probably why I get pretty happy when I get a nice brow product in a box.

IT cosmetics is such an awesome makeup company. They have some great makeup that has plenty of benefits for your skin. And this eyebrow pencil is super nice. It has an oval-shaped tip which allows it to really create some nice hair-like strokes. On the other end of the pencil, you get a nice spooly to comb through and brush your brows to perfection.

4. Girlactik Matte Lip Paint in Posh ($23.00 USD)

yes queen

YESSS! Nothing screams my name more than a gorgeous terra-cotta nude shade with an excellent formulation! Not only does this lipstick smell like yummy vanilla frosting, it wears really comfortably on the lips as well. Many subscription services send me extremely red lipsticks which I know I will NEVER wear. Boxycharm does a great job of sending me really wearable lip products that often times end up becoming my everyday handy lip product. Very happy with this lippie! ^_^

5. PUR Cosmetics Bronze & Brighten Cheek Palette ($34.00 USD)

This is a brand new product to the PUR cosmetics brand interestingly enough! In fact, on the website, it is not yet up for sale. Rather, it says coming soon! This gorgeous palette debuts three really buttery, pigmented pressed powders, one being a blush (coral with a gorgeous golden sheen), one being a highlight (light gold/champagne), and the other being a bronzer. This palette certainly is not for the faint of heart. It is super shimmery and BAM in your face. But I love that kind of an impact. These cannot only make for amazing face products (by using a light hand), but they can also serve as some intensely incredible eyeshadows.

In conclusion, I REALLY enjoyed this boxycharm!! What a wonderful way to start off the new year! This box included products I could totally see myself using on a regular basis. This box featured products from awesome, well known about brands and was a perfect balance of face, eyes, and lips.

If you guys are looking to belong to any one beauty subscription, I would totally recommend Boxycharm. And of course I do love my Ipsy and Sephora Play! subscriptions, but I really think this one provides you with the best value, and this one will also help you to really build up your makeup collection while on a budget. I hope you all enjoyed this review. I wanted to thank all my readers for the good vibes and positive feedback on some of my previous blog posts. I wish to become an increasingly active blogger! I want to share my love and passion for all things beauty. Makeup is such a creative art, it’s a one size fits all. So until next time, keep on creating. (:

My Top 5 Favorite Foundations!

So yes, the winter season is upon us, but that certainly does not mean we should stop looking snatched. I think the key component to nearly any makeup look is most definitely your foundation. What foundation you use really sets the tone for how your makeup application is going to go. Although foundations tend to be a bit pricier than most other makeup products, I really enjoy investing in them and trying out different ones. Please keep in mind that these picks are all solely based off of my personal opinion.

Now, the foundations you choose should really correlate with your skin complexion. I personally have pretty combination/oily skin, so I find that medium-full coverage, mattifying foundations work best for me.

1) Makeup Forever Ultra HD Foundation (Liquid) $43.00:

This foundation just about answers all my hopes and dreams. It was as if God above brought this foundation to the cosmetic market himself and blessed us with its presence. I know that this foundation is raved about consistently, but I have to just justify all the hype by saying that this is one of the best foundations I have ever tried! The consistency of the liquid isn’t too watery or thick; the formulation is absolutely flawless. It applies to my skin so nicely, leaving behind a medium-full type coverage and matching my skin tone perfectly. The amazing thing about this foundation line, is that there are SO many shades (40, to be exact), so there is bound to be a perfect match for just about everyone. The special feature of this foundation is that there is absolutely no flashback. This foundation is ideal for people who find themselves on camera a lot (especially you-tubers). It is supposed to hide skin imperfections, even on 4K camera which is incredible. I usually use this foundation for special occasions. Despite its high price-point, I could not recommend this foundation enough!

bless up

2) Fenty Beauty (by Rihanna) Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Foundation ($34.00):

I really have to give props to Rihanna for creating such a beautifully formulated foundation with such a large shade range on her first launch. The wonderful thing about this product, is that it works wonderfully for all skin types. You don’t even HAVE to use her primer; this foundation goes well with just about any other primer that I own. It is so soft, lightweight, and comfortable. It has a great medium to full coverage finish (yes, it’s buildable people!). The packaging is gorgeous too, with its stunning white top and frosted glass bottle. I find that it has pretty good staying power too, and doesn’t break down or oxidize on me! When it comes to luxury brand makeup products, I think this one is very fairly priced. Way to go, Rihanna!

3) Wet n’ Wild Photo Focus Foundation ($5.99):

So I definitely wanted to include a drug store foundation into this list, but the best part of this foundation is that is so amazing, that it would make my top 5 foundation regardless of its price point. I believe it was one of the youtubers I watch who was raving about this product. Now, Wet n’ Wild hasn’t had the best reputation in the past of making good quality makeup products. But girl, let me tell you something… they have REALLY stepped up their game! Some of their makeup products knock my socks off, including this wonderful foundation. It has this thin, almost slightly watery consistency that blends into the skin like a dream (with a damp beauty blender, of course). It has a little plastic wand too which allows you to dot the foundation all over your face before buffing it in. This gives me incredible coverage and matches my skin ton beautifully. It gives me that nice matte look without leaving me dull and lasts all stinking day! If you are an oily skinned mf like myself, and are looking for an amazing foundation that won’t break the bank, this one is for you! The powder foundation in this line goes excellently with the liquid as well! Dynamic duo (:

wet n wild

4) Too Faced Peach Perfect Comfort Matte Foundation ($36.00):

This foundation is from the Too Faced Peaches and Cream collection, and it is oh-so-amazing! It has a comfortable matte finish to it, and matches my skin tone wonderfully (although, I do wish they came out with a large shade variation). It has a pleasant, yet light scent to it, so it doesn’t bother my sensitive skin at all. This foundation is really good and lasting, and works even better with the matching primer! I definitely recommend this product to someone with combination/oily skin who is looking for a fun, new foundation!

peaches and cream

5) LORAC  POREfection Foundation ($38.00):

I have always been collectively impressed with LORAC’s products. I think they have excellent quality products to justify their price points. This foundation applies wonderfully and gives me such good coverage. It does not break down at all on my face, and really does last the entire day for me! This foundations contains anti-aging antioxidants, different fruit extracts, and SPF 20 which makes it really nice! I feel like this is a very underrated foundation, and it definitely deserves more attention and praise than it gets.

***I do have ONE honorable mention foundation. The Revlon (24-hour) Colorstay Foundation ($12.99)! This foundation is oil-free so it is just ideal for those with combination/oily skin. Although the coverage is medium, it is buildable, and it has incredible lasting power. This is an example of another wonderful drug store foundation that works just as well as some luxury brand foundations do.

This concludes my favorite foundations! I hope this was able to help some of my readers out. Let me know in a comment below which foundations you enjoy, or if you have tried any of the foundations on this list. What did you think? I look forward to hearing your feedback! If you have any other favorite list requests, be sure to let me know. Until next time, wordpress.

Ipsy Unbagging September 2017

Hello everyone; long time, no blog! It has surely been a busy year for me thus far with school and a new job! All of the stress definitely makes receiving my beauty subscriptions each month even more exciting. So, without further ado, let us see what i got in my September Ipsy Glam Bag!!!

For those of you who don’t know already, Ipsy is a $10.00/per month beauty subscription service for which you receive a cute travel-friendly glam bag (that usually correlates to a specific monthly theme) and 5 sample-sized, deluxe sample-sized, and (sometimes) full sized products, ranging from: cosmetics, haircare, body care, skincare, accessories/tools, nail care, fragrances, etc. I think Ipsy is a great way to expand your horizons with makeup and discover many new products/brands.

The Glam Bag!!!

This month’s glam bag correlates to the theme, “Like. A. Boss.” It is a gorgeously simple black faux leather bag with raised squares all around for added texture. It can go with literally any color scheme and is super cute!!!

Ipsy sep 2017

Yay!! I love Smashbox Cosmetics so much, so naturally I was ecstatic to receive this product. I have owned and used up plenty of the regular Photo Finish foundation primers from them before. I find that the formulation really helps to smoothen out my skin complexion, blur imperfections, and increased the longevity of my makeup. This primer in particular is supposed to add a pretty golden sheen to the skin to help it appear more lively and radiant. And it does exactly that for me! This is great for when my skin need a little pick-me-up. LOVE!

radiance primer

I have received plenty of Luxie brushes from Ipsy before. They are really nice and affordable, with a simply pretty touch to them. I actually don’t have an eye brush quite like this one, but it works really well in the outer corner when applying darker shadows to create a nice smokey effect. This brush also works really well at effectively blending out shadows.

3. Nomad Cosmetics Multi-Perfection Illuminating Bronzer Duo in “Principessa”:

So this is supposed to be a bronzer-highlighter duo from a brand I have never heard of before. The formulation is absolutely AMAZING on these. They’re super buttery and soft, blending out like a dream. However, I find that thy will make much better eyeshadows for me, at least because of my skin tone and due to the size of the compact. It’s just a bit too small to fit in a big face brush. The bronzer is way too gold and shimmery for a bronzer, in my opinion (for any skin tone), and I believe it will look stunning packed onto the lid for a gorgeous golden eye. The highlighter, however, would look nice as either a highlighter or an eyeshadow. It is a pretty rosy-silver toned shade. For future reference, I would much rather receive a solo (matte) bronzer or a solo highlighter compact instead of a duo of this size.

4. P.R.M.I.T Beauty GELlusion in “September (Virgo)”:

-Because I do clinical in hospitals for nursing school, I am not allowed to wear any nail polish during the school year, so I will be giving this away to someone. The color is pretty deep sapphire blue, that is a bit adventurous and nice for the fall time. It is said to be “ultra-opaque” and “chip-resistant.” With Ipsy, we usually receive full-sized nails polishes, so that’s pretty cool!

virgo polish

5. Eva NYC Zero Gravity Volume Powder:

This powder is perfect for my hair! I have oily hair that sometimes needs an extra boost of volume and texture, and this product does the job! It leaves a very slight white-cast because my hair is so dark, but it’s nothing I can’t handle.

eva nyc

All in all, I thought this Ipsy was pretty good. It definitely wasn’t one of my favorite glam bags. I felt as if it was a bit boring for me. The only product I was super excited about receiving was the smashbox radiance primer. The rest of the products, while they are nice, are not products that I have been dying to try.

Be sure to review your products on Ipsy’s website on a monthly basis! This helps them to cater a bit better to your interests and preferences as the months go by. As always, I hope you guys enjoyed seeing what I got in my Ipsy bag for this month! Feel free to comment down below telling me about you received in your glam bag!

Ipsy Unbagging (July 2017)

For those of you who don’t know, Ipsy is a $10.00 per month beauty subscription service that delivers around 5 deluxe-sample sized (and sometimes full-sized) beauty products. The products span from cosmetics, to skincare, to haircare, body care, beauty accessories/tools, nail care, etc. Originally founded by Michelle Phan herself, the subscription has grown a huge subscriber base over the years and is an excellent way to broaden your horizons with makeup. It pushes you to expand beyond your comfort zone and allows you to discover new brands and products you would have never have tried in the first place. I also find that this is one of the most personalized beauty subscription services. Upon signing up, you are able to fill out a beauty profile, telling Ipsy what kinds of products you enjoy, what brands you like, and also about your hair and skin concerns.

Each month, you receive a different “glam” bag, usually correlating to the specific theme of the month. These bags are super cute and convenient for storage and/or traveling. This month’s theme was “Over-Easy,” featuring an adorable sleeping egg cartoon named Gudetama. This theme stresses the need for relaxation in the summer time.

So, without further ado, here is what I received in my July 2017 Ipsy Glam Bag:

1) BellaPierre Cosmetics Banana Setting Powder

Banana powders are all the rave right now in the beauty world! They specialize in color-correcting, camouflaging redness and dark circles on the under-eyes. This powder, despite its yellow shade, is translucent and works great on all skin tones. This powder really helps to avoid my concealer from creasing, and also gives my skin a more balanced tone. I also find that this powder is great to use on the high points of the face, specifically in spots I would normally highlight, such as my nose, cupid’s bow, cheekbones, chin, and forehead. Additionally, the size of the powder is wonderful! Definitely happy with this first product.

2) Tarte “Rainforest of the Sea” Deep Dive Cleansing Gel

I always enjoy trying out new cleansers. I believe switching up your skincare routine regularly is actually beneficial! Now, I have tried plenty of the products in Tarte’s “Rainforest of the Sea” collection, and I have really enjoyed them. This one had the same result! It has a nice fresh scent that isn’t overwhelming in the slightest. This cleansing gel is both hypoallergenic and non-drying, and completely dissolves stubborn waterproof makeup. This product is vegan, featuring some marine ingredients, such as algae and marine flower extract. I would say that this gel is ideal for those days when you don’t want to exfoliate and want something a bit more gentle on the skin. But overall I would highly recommend this product to my readers, especially to those who have more sensitive skin.

3. Ciate London Wonderwand Gel-Kohl Hybrid Liner (in Black)

It’s always nice to receive a black eyeliner in a beauty subscription, especially from brands I love and enjoy. Eyeliner is one of those products that I always find myself using up super quickly, and usually I don’t mess around with super bold colors for eyeliner. This eyeliner is nice and pigmented and decently applies on the waterline. Personally though, I would prefer to get a retractable eyeliner instead of a wood one that needs to be consistently resharpened. This eyeliner also comes with a convenient angled liner brush that is perfect for smudging out the pencil liner or for applying potted gel liners.

4. AHAVA Mineral Hand Cream

Let me start off by stating how much I love receiving hand creams in beauty subscriptions. I always find my hands super dry, no matter what season we are in. These babies are perfect to throw into your bag. This one in particular is super gentle and absorbs into the skin with ease. It doesn’t leave your hands feeling greasy or heavy. It also has an amazing fresh scent that I could never get tired of, featuring Dead-Sea minerals and witch hazel to help heal, smooth, and nourish dry skin. Thank you, Ipsy!!!

5. TreStiQue Mini Concealer Crayon (in Bisque)

This products makes for a super convenient (and cute) on-the-go, travel friendly concealer. “Bisque” is a perfect shade for those with medium skin tones, such as myself. It has a very creamy formulation, featuring a nice coconut oil infusion. This concealer really doesn’t cake or crease on me. And it is also medium-to-full coverage, so I especially enjoy this product!

That concludes my July 2017 Ipsy unbagging. As a whole, I think this was a pretty good month. I received a lot of products that are essentials and that I find myself using on a regular basis. The worst thing is when I receive products I think I am going to rarely ever use. This subscription is so worth the $10.00 you pay for it, and I would highly recommend it to my subscribers!

If you would like to subscribe to Ipsy, I’d really appreciate if you did so by clicking on my referral link! (This is totally optional, but would be highly appreciated).

My Top 5 Favorite Liquid Lipsticks!

Ahh, liquid lipsticks. They are the totally “in” trend for thousands of pouts across the globe. With their effortless wear, seamless finish, and diverse shade variations, they have easily become a part of my regular lip routine.

That being said, I have tried an entire variation of liquid lipsticks, and there are definitely some hidden gems out there that I could not recommend enough. Although I am constantly trying out new matte liquid lipsticks, these 5 are my absolute go-tos.

1. Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks

These liquid lipsticks are AH-MAZING. They come in a large variety of shades, so there is something for everyone. But I especially adore the range of nude shades Kat has to offer. Being a brunette with medium olive-toned skin, bright colors aren’t my best look. That being said, I love to try out all different variations of nude shades to change up my look without choosing out some unflattering. The packaging is super adorable, and I like the long-sized doe foot applicator. It allows for easier application and better precision. The formulation is super lightweight, but that does NOT take away from the excellent pigmentation. They are creamy (not too drying on the lips), and are semi-transfer proof in my opinion. Not to mention, these delicious lippies smell like chocolate. ^_^

Some of my favorite shades from the Everlasting Liquid Lipstick collection are “Lolita II” and “Ophelia.” “Lolita II” is a beautiful terra-cotta-like shade, while “Ophelia” is a gorgeous warm pinky-nude.

These liquid lipsticks retail for $20.00 each, which is quite standard for higher-end makeup brands. I think they are totally worth the money.

2. HudaBeauty Liquid Matte Lipsticks

HudaBeauty’s brand new Liquid Matte Lipsticks definitely left me impressed. I have always loved this brand for their false lashes, so when I heard they came out with matte liquid lipsticks, I knew I had to give them a try. And I am very glad I did! The frosted glass packaging is absolutely gorgeous, and the sizing is perfect. These lipsticks also have quite a sweet chocolatey smell, but not as pleasant as the Kat Von D lipsticks. These lipsticks come in a LOT of neutral shades, and I have been using the shade “Bombshell” almost every day. It is described as being a “subtle pinkish nude.” These lipsticks are super comfortable on the lips and are super transfer-proof. I can trust this lipstick to last me on a long night out.

These lipsticks have great pigment and are super smooth. They dry down matte in a matter of seconds, and they make lipstick application a breeze. They keep your lips pretty hydrating for a lipstick with a matte formulation. I’m telling you, once you try these puppies out, it will be hard to go back. This is honestly one of the best quality liquid lipsticks I have ever tried.

3. Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipsticks

If you are looking for an amazing quality lipstick that comes in a CRAP-TON of shades (35 to be exact), look no further!! Meet the lovely ABH liquid lipsticks. If you have ever tried the lip glosses from the brand, you can only guess how wonderful the liquid lipstick formulation is. These lipsticks are also lightweight, yet pigmented. They don’t have the absolute longest wear, especially compared to the HudaBeauty lipsticks, however, they do last on your lips for a decent amount of the day.

The flat edge on the applicator really does allow for accurate, precise application. They have a delightful vanilla cupcake-type scent.

These beauties retail for $20.00 a piece as well, so choose your favorite colors wisely. Min is dolce! Is is a really pretty brighter nude-pink.

4. Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipsticks

Of all liquid lipsticks I have ever used, these are definitely the most delicious smelling. They smell like the most decadent chocolate ever, and I am totally obsessed.

These are definitely a little more pricey, retailing at $24.00 for 0.08 fl. oz, however, they are of amazing quality.

They glide onto the lips so smoothly, and have a great wear time. Stila has a lot of shades that flatter so many different skin tones, especially my own. The first shade of these I ever tried was “Patina” and I absolutely fell in love. “Patina” is labeled as a “dusty rose” color. It’s mostly pink, but has this slightly purple tinge. Other gorgeous shades from this collection include, “Firenze,” “Caramello,” and “Dolce.”

Told you I like nude shades…

5. Smashbox Always On Matte Liquid Lipsticks

I first had the pleasure of trying out this matte liquid lipstick formulation from one of my Sephora Play subscription boxes. I instantly fell in love with the product, from it’s unique packaging to its individual formulation.

The product comes in a rectangular-shaped tube and has a nice long doe foot end with a hollow inside. The pigment on these lipsticks in NO joke! The really stay on your lips throughout the day and pack a punch. Plus, they are super creamy.

They retail for $24.00, and are definitely well worth the price. Personally, my favorite shade from Smashbox’s range is “Driver’s Seat,” which is classified as a “warm pink.” It’s the closest a pink could get to a red without actually being called red, and I am in love!!

And there you have it, my TOP 5 FAVORITE liquid lipsticks. I’m constantly looking for new formulations to ry and incorporate into my makeup routine, and I love to hear other people’s favorites for inspiration. As always, I do recommend regular exfoliation for the lips, especially by using yummy lip scrubs! LUSH Cosmetics and Jeffree Star Cosmetics sell some great lip scrubs that come in a  variety of different flavors. The castor sugar helps to rid your lips of dead skin cells, while different oils help to nourish and soften the lips. Moisturizing your lips in between liquid lipstick wears is super important. It helps the colors look vibrant on your lips and keeps everything at bay.

Remember when choosing a liquid lipstick that you want to avoid anything super drying or patchy. These five do an excellent job at giving your lips a smooth, yet matte complexion.

As always, thank you for reading and stay tuned for more blog posts to come!!! ❤

Get to Know Me Tag! (Q&A)

Get to Know Me Tag! (Q&A)

Hello, my name is Pietrina Impastato. Welcome to my first ever blog post!!!

This is all very new to me. I want to write about all kinds of things pertaining to my life and interests.

A little bit about me, I am an 19-year old nursing student from Long Island, NY. I love to sing, dance, travel, write, and help others. I have a passion for makeup, and I am a total adrenaline junkie!

I thought the best way to go about this post would be to complete a “Get to Know Me Tag,” by answering a series of questions. Feel free to reuse these questions for your own blog post!(:

1) Are you named after anyone?

Yes, indeed! I am named after my grandmother Pietrina. Super Italian, I know…

2) When was the last time you cried?

When I re-watched season 4 of Orange is the New Black!! WHY DID POUSSEY HAVE TO GO??? WHY?!?!?

3) Do you have kids?

No, I do not. I mean unless you want to count my two dogs, Scruffy and Bella. Literally my children. ❤

4) If you were another person, would you be friends with yourself?

Considering the fact that I have R.B.F (otherwise known as “resting bitch face”), I’m not really sure. I am a super easy person to talk to, I have just been told to come off as a bit intimidating.

5) Do you use sarcasm a lot?

I don’t abuse it; only like to be sarcastic when it’s fitting and not too offensive. I cannot stand overly sarcastic people.

6) What’s the first thing you notice about people?

Usually, their tone of voice. I pay close attention to voice because I have to enjoy someone’s voice to get along with them. Weird, right? I also look for their ability to hold conversation and the way in which they are dressed.

Is it just me, or is the best look on a guy a nice flannel and some jeans??

7) What is your eye color?

The darkest brown you can imagine. It’s almost like I have one giant pupil.

8) Scary movies or happy endings?

It really depends on my mood. Sometimes I don’t want everything to end with all sunshine and rainbows. But sometimes I don’t want to be waking up at 3 am frantic from nightmares.

9) Favorite smells?

I love vanilla and fruity scented perfumes. Oddly enough, I also enjoy the scent of gasoline.

10) What’s the furthest you’ve ever been from home?

Probably Haiti, before the earthquake. It was beautiful.

11) Do you have any special talents?

I have been singing opera since about the age of 10. Since then I have gone on to do lots of shows and various performances. I partook in vocal lessons, and even had a Q-labeled audition with America’s Got Talent based off of my video submission in the 9th grade. Seriously, if you look up “13 year old singing opera” on Youtube, I’m one of the first videos to pop up.

I’m also really good at doing makeup.

12) Where were you born?

New York, baby!

13) What are your hobbies?

Singing, dancing, writing, traveling, shopping, baking, helping others, driving…

14) Do you have any pets?

Two dogs, Scruffy and Bella.

Scruffy is a pure-bred Yorkshire Terrier, while Bella is a “Morkie” (maltese/yorkshire terrier mix).

15) Do you have any siblings?

Yes, I have one younger brother named Alex. He’s 16.

16) What do you want to be when you grow up?

Hopefully, a nurse practitioner. But I also wouldn’t be opposed to putting that dream on hold if a performance opportunity came up.

17) Who was your first best friend?

Noelle, she is my womb-mate.

18) How tall are you?

5’8″ (Tall for a girl, I know).

19) Favorite school memory?

Shows and field trips. Oh and prom was pretty fun as well.

20) How many countries have you visited?

Certainly not as many as I would like. Most of may traveling is domestic, however, I have been to Canada, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Haiti, and many of islands in the Caribbean. I would love to go to Europe one day.

21) What was your favorite/worst subject in high school?

My favorite subject was either English or science; it really depended on the course material. I also loved chorus.

My least favorite subject was definitely math. Math and I just don’t get along. Like, sure basic math is never an issue. But when you get into the hardcore stuff, my mind just wonders off to Guam.

I’m gonna be a great nurse. :’)

22) What is your favorite drink? Animal? Perfume?

-Favorite drink (non-alcoholic): Shirley temple.

-Favorite drink (alcoholic): Cranberry vodka, tequila sunrise, mint mojito.

-Favorite animal: Lion.

-Favorite Perfume: Marc Jacobs Daisy.

23) What would you name your children?

This has always been quite trivial to me for a couple of reasons. First off, it is the Italian tradition to name the children after the parents. However, I feel like I wouldn’t want o follow that. Also, I’m not even sure at this point of my life if I want children.

I have always really liked the name Phoenix for a girl, and Austin for a boy.

24) What sports do you play/have you played?

I love any kind of net and racket sort, such as tennis and badminton. I used to do taekwondo for two years. I really enjoyed that. I worked my way up to a purple tip belt and then stopped because theatre took over all my free time. I also tried cross country out in middle school and absolutely hated it.

I’ll always remember this one race we had to do at the park. It was torrentially down-pouring, yet they refused to cancel the event. So halfway through the race, I had my mom pick me and a few friends up and she dropped us off at the finish line. I came in 13th place for that race. Was it deserved? Nope.

Suck on that, coach.

25) Who are some of your favorite YouTubers?

-Shane Dawson

-Jeffree Star

-Manny MUA

-Kathleen Lights

-Madison Miller

There are plenty of others, but those are the ones I watch on a regular basis.

26) How many boyfriends have you had?

I have had two serious boyfriends, and three not so serious. And those are just the people I dated. I have had a “thing” with guys before, but it never amounted to much. Currently I am happily enjoying the single life and am having fun! I mean, what a better time to do that than when you’re young?

27) Favorite memory from childhood?

Fishing. My dad and I used to go fishing and it was one of my favorite things in the whole world. So serene and peaceful. Not only did I enjoy the rush I got when catching something, but I loved how close my dad and I were when I was little. It’s not like that so much anymore.

28) How would you describe your fashion sense?

I honestly don’t have one type of distinct fashion sense. I dress pretty casually, but sometimes I will make a statement with a certain piece: whether it be tribal-printed leggings, golden head chains, unique shoes, or anything tribal/indian-like. I’m not Indian by any means, but I really admire the way they look at fashion. As I have grown older, I have definitely gotten into girly pieces, such as rompers and maxi dresses.

29) What phone do you have?

Iphone. And if anyone wants to attempt to convince me that Androids are better, they’ll be wasting their time.

30) What is one bad habit of yours?

Procrastination…at its finest. When I put my mind to something, I am an overachiever. It’s finding the motivation to do so that is a struggle.

Well, there you have it. If anyone made it all the way down to this part of the blog post, good job! You get a cookie!

I hope to write about all different types of things. Hopefully you find at least one of my topics interesting! Stay tuned for more to come! (:
